What is a death doula?
A death doula may help with advanced planning, offering companionship for the individual, keeping vigil as the individual transitions, offering respite for caregivers, legacy work and helping to bring unresolved chapters to a close and even after death care and home funeral planning. They are not funeral directors or medical professionals such as registered nurses or social workers.
Death work is ancient work that has been practiced since humans came into existence.
who am I?
As a death midwife, my intention is to support those who are dying, as well as their loved ones within my community through physical, emotional and spiritual support. I offer my presence, empathy, and offerings. In addition to being a death midwife, home funeral guide and ceremonialist, I have training in energy work, massage and aromatherapy which allows me to offer various modalities for both those who are dying and their loved ones.
